One of my favorite things about family photos and holiday cards is playing with different looks and trying new things. The last few years we’ve stuck to our personal style of neutral and laid back, so this year, I wanted to try something a little fancier, more colorful and out of our norm.
I booked my sweet friend and film photographer Charity Maurer to capture our family, knowing she has a more romantic style, and tried to mirror that feel in our styling. I couldn’t be happier with our gorgeous photos!
When it came to ordering our annual holiday cards, I wanted something that accented our pretty images but played up the natural surrounding. Luckily, Minted made choosing our card design this year very easy! I knew exactly which photo we’d use on the front, so I uploaded it and used the Find it Fast tool to view our image on all the card designs. It was nice to easily rule out designs that wouldn’t work well with the photo orientation or crop.
I decided on the foil-pressed Winter Harvest design by artist Oscar & Emma. I opted to make our cards even fancier by choosing pearlescent paper with a custom shape and pretty coordinating envelope liners. I love how everything turned out, with an elevated, fine art feel.
One of my absolute favorite things about Minted is the free recipient addressing and the Minted envelope! Mailing cards is so quick and easy, and family and friends get a sneak at what’s inside from the moment they open their mailboxes.
Minted has so many incredible design options, something for every style and every budget. I love how many options are available to customize each design and make it my own.
